        Versatile installation

This sub handles up to 250 watts RMS to bring out the punch your music's been missing, and its 4-ohm impedance makes it compatible with just about every amplifier on the market. The sub's steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and its extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy. This versatile sub works well in sealed or ported enclosures.

        Q
What size amp should I get for a single 10" Kicker 44CWCS104?
        [ DJ  Jul 31, 2020 ]
        1 answer
        A
I currently have a 1200 watt Boss amp a / B running two of these kickers so if you're running a single a 400 to 600 would probably be your best option. But mine are infinite baffle so it all depends on if you're using it for open air, sealed, or ported. But 400 to 600 would probably be the best range.

Under the details of this sub, it says it is a free air sub

No, this is not a free air sub

        Q
Would head unit output of 50W at 4 ohms be enough to power this sub? Or, would it require a separate amp for more power?

The short answer: A separate amp would be much better. The recommended watts for this particular speaker is about 250W RMS (500 peak). You would need to verify but your head unit probably gives about 14 to 20 something watts RMS and the 50W is probably peak wattage (which isn't enough to get much sound from these speakers). At one time Kicker made a 10" that requires less watts (something like 125 RMS) but even this one needs an amp (the good news is you can get away with a less expensive amp). Hope this helps!

You definitely need an amp. I'm running two of these subwoofers with a JL Audio JX500/1D amp to rock the house (car actually!). At 50w, you may hear faint sounds, but will be very Underpowered.

It would work, kind of. But you wont get the full potential of the sub, not even close. I would at least get a mono amp to drive the sub. I have two of these wired in parallel being driven by a Rockford Fosgate mono amp (500 watts @ 2 ohms) behind the seats of my pickup and it sounds awesome! A lot depends on your ultimate goal as well. If you're lookin' to tick off the neighbors and anyone within 100 yards of your car, this wont do it! If your goal is to feel/hear quality sounds at high levels (I like my Neil Diamond LOUD), then, combined with a couple of 6x9's or 6.5 inch round three ways, will do it. If your head unit has provisions for low side RCA "sub output", use those. You'll get a cleaner sound than the high side setup. Also, pay attention to the specs of the sub. Subs are designed for sealed/unsealed boxes of certain sizes, which is specified in cubic feet. It makes a difference. Good luck :)

You will need at least 100w to really push it. I am using 120w and it sounds awesome

        Q
What's recommendations for cubic foot size for dual sealed box for these speakers?
        [ Dustin  Apr 07, 2019 ]
        1 answer
        A
Those Kickers do best with a cubic volume of 1.00 - 2.40 cu. ft. per chamber in a sealed enclosure. That would be roughly 2.00 - 4.80 cu. ft. for the whole box if you're going to do one large chamber.

        Q
Do you have a single sealed box for Kicker 44CWCS104 CompC Series 10" 4-ohm subwoofer. 1.0-1.4 cubic feet?

Thanks for your question. I'm not finding anything in that range or recommendations for this specific sub. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help determine if there is a sealed box in stock that will work with your application.
