The 10" DUBw10 subwoofer features a reinforced injection-molded polypropylene cone for optimum stiffness and maximum low-frequency output. Teamed with a high damping rubber surround, the sub gives you DUB-approved performance in a stylish and affordable package. The DUBw10 also features special venting for heat dissipation, a ceramic-ferrite magnet, and a heavy-duty stamped steel basket to give rigidity to the entire structure. Are these shallowmount subs?

No, they are not shallow mount. The one I bought lost its magnet over a bump and was not repairable, replaced it with a cerwin-vega that was better constructed, I don't recommend these subs.

Features

Woofer Cone: The Injection Molded Polypropylene (IMPP) woofer cone is rigid and lightweight. The Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.

Binding Posts: The spring post speaker terminals will accept single banana plugs, pin connectors, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Sealed Box Volume: Jensen recommends three sealed box sizes, which they label:

Thumpin': 0.5 ft3; F3=44 Hz; Qtc=1.1
Hard Hitting: 0.75 ft3; F3=42 Hz; Qtc=0.95
Bangin' Bottom End: 1.0 ft3; F3=39 Hz; Qtc=0.9

Hello I have a 2001 cadillac deville I want to replace the rear deck subwoofer. I kinda jumped the gun by already purchasing this sub, that deal was too good, without figuring if I can use it in my caddy? Crutchfield shows it fits my dimensions. I don't need an external amp do I? Thank you for any help

The Jensen DUBw10 does fit within the factory subwoofer mounting space but you will need to custom fabricate an adapter bracket/spacer to secure it in the stock mount. Yes, you will need an aftermarket amplifier to power it properly. The stock amp isn't enough to power any aftermarket woofer. Say I have 2 of these, and I'm planning to put them in a ported box. I have an 840 watt 2 channel bridgable amp. Will this work for them? If not, what wattage amp would I need to push them without bridging?

Is that 840 Watts Max if the RMS is 420 then two tens should work very well

I have two of them and they worked great and I have pioneer amp on my they are 900w and I love them I have 2200w in my car so have a great time with them

If I buy 2 of these and boxes for them both what else will I need? chords? an amp? any recommendations on a type of amp and about how much I should pay for one. also are these considered "big" subs if you have 2? how hard are these to install? thanks for answering like 5 questions :)

How much of an amplifier in terms of power do I need if I have a pair of these in an enclosure? Going in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab Z71.

Installed two with a 1000 W max (480 rms) mono amp. More of a budget package but still sounds really good and added some much needed bass.

If they are in the same chamber what I mean by there is no divider in the box then you can only put a maximum of 250 watts RMS if the box is ported and is smaller than the recommended ported size then I recommend you reduce the power level to compensate for the size of the box if it is divided in the middle you can put 250 watts to each speaker also I would recommend a 500 watt amplifier and if the box is sealed and has a divider each one is separate in its own chamber I recommend you go 10% higher than what the RMS is so that would be around 275 300 max for each speaker RMS it is a nice well built speaker good luck but I recommend that you really follow the diagrams that are given to you the specs for the best performance try not to deviate from them no more than 10% on the largest side Or 10% on the smaller side
